Milot Law has been representing close to 50 former participants in the Innovative Gifting Inc. Initiative, the IGI Tax Shelter and the Furry World Rescue Mission program. For the past several months, Milot Law has been dealing with CRA Appeals.
We understand that settlement offers will be made to all former IGI clients; this will involve allowing the cash donation and waiving a significant portion of the arrears interest. No amount will be allowed for the gift-in-kind portion. Some Taxpayer will decide to accept this offer, while others will be proceeding to the Tax Court of Canada.
